alright, brother (yes to all of you who read this, R0tt3n-Appl3 and I are brothers, and i played the guitar and mastered the strings and he added the piano lick in the peril section and did the drumwork (thank god little bro; you've helped me so much in ways you don't even KNOW!!! lol)). what do you say we give this song another go? wanna remaster it for a better quality? now that we have the firebox and i know how to record a little better, let's give this song the final push!!! prepare, fans! the ultimate halo song is coming your way! =) watch for V3/Final Version VERY SOON! about time too; we only made this song 1.5 years ago, and i've always wanted to redo that guitar (man, did it always sound gritty-nasty! oh well, i guess you learn from stuff like that =P). Let's go ALL-THE-WAY!

absolutely beautiful

might i just say that the horn complimenting the acoustic guitarwork (which by the way was really REALLY friggin good) brought a tear to my eye. i thought at one point that it would be cool to here some hi-hats, but then i realized that would totally diminish from the subtlety and the quietness of the atmosphere and the serenity of the other percussive instruments, like the rainstick. awesome job broski!

haha noice!

This is pretty friggin sweet. I like how the horns are smooth as butter, and that guitar gets funky as the funkiest mcfunk. Those congas made me envision some back-alley funky jason bourne after he killed all the bad guys and needs some groove to walk/dance to (i dunno lol i'm just goin with the flow). Nice job!

[Icarus - Above the Sea]

So...serene...

This is epically awesome. The trumpet is superb, and it just sounds like a cool stroll on the beach. Oh, and those third and fifth intervals with the trumpets are gorgeous. Even the synthesizer sounds as smooth as butter. I can tell that you know your stuff, man. It makes me wanna draw inspiration from it instantaneously (jesus why haven't I submitted anything in this category; look at my name for christ sakes!!! lol)

yeah yeah i know what game you're talking about =) surprisingly i only have its sequel lol, but i loved that game. nice cover; the mix is sweet and it's got everything i want our of a punk song, except for lyrics, but there's no way you can do that with a mario theme lol. i swear they should use this song for the next mario game that comes out. anyway, nice job =)

Let's just say, I like strings.

This is absolutely beautiful my friend! For being your first song on this site, it's really really REALLY good. Like, most people's stuff bombshells at first, but this...this is cool. If you keep producing stuff that sounds like this - unique in every manner, nothing that can really be pinpointed to FL Studio or another generic music production software - you will come out on top. I especially like your attention to dynamic contrast; it's extremely artistic. Good job sir!

[NH22 - Suspended Animation]

i give you a 10 based on those keys =)

i listened to this song thinking to myself "oh geez...not another FL song!" but then i was like "no, you know what? forget it! i'm gonna listen to the whole thing cuz i know it would be a douche move not to." and you know what? i'm so glad i listened to this song. it's really epic in many ways, and i can tell, even though it IS FL Studio that you used, that there was a hell of a lot of talent put into this thing. the main thing that got me were the keys that started up around 2:26, which are just badass, even if it's FL Keys. excellent, excellent stuff =) the only recommendation for the future is to make your stuff sound less and less like you just threw clips together from the generic WAV files offered by FL Studio. but as far as talent goes, you are at the top! i only wish my stuff could achieve the heights your stuff does.

Uh.....

Pretty interesting. I'll bet these samples came from DirectWave. Actually, better yet, the Tibetan Flute you can DL from DirectWave from World. FL Studio perk, no? Still, your track was good. It's got a classic vibe. If you rapped to it I could understand more why you categorized it as hip hop lol. But no, seriously, I like what you did with your flute. =) Just be careful not to get too repetitive.

They call him pwnage!

i never thought i'd see the day when a lion king song could be danced to as much as it could be sung to lol. this is beyond awesome; it's epic, ambient, sex on my ears! There's so many layers, and evey sound puts me in ecstasy. I'd like to see someone else come even close to producing a dance song with so much excellence to it, and i would say good luck to them, cuz this just raised this site's bar.
