FYI, just found a sweet video on guitar tone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1SnqKV_9Rs). I'm trying some of these techniques out right now with Heavier7Strings to see what I can come up with (which, by the way, yes, I can actually play, but I don't own a 7+ stringer to get those bassier notes...)

Yea this is actually on Ample Metal Hellraiser, a 9 string, and i STILL want it lower. I actually tuned some of it down through automation to get even LOWER haha. I tried playing it on my 7 string, and its just so low the strings can't even vibrate, you might think about going the route im going to, and just get thicker strings for your 6 string, so you can play the low notes of a 7 or 8 string. You'll miss the higher string, but all I personally care about is LOW TUNING hahaha. just a thought. I'll check out that video! right now i just wanna write, so I had my buddy help me out, but i need to find my own tones asap, so that video is valuable to me, thank you! and I'm glad you like it!

Yo dude, I sold my most important piece of gear years ago and fell out... it was my subwoofer. Just realised 10 years later after changing audio equipment about 4 times now. Finally time to get a FAT SUB. Music isn't the same without it!

The closest I came to the mark was about 2 years ago with this track https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/853086 but nothing else has come close really to the music from back in 2010-11, mainly because the love of it wasn't there but also... I gave away my subwoofer back in 2011...... COINCIDENCE? DOUBT IT VERY MUCH.

Well, absolutely fuck me...had I known you were on NG, I wouldn’t have been so annoying on other platforms. Forgive me.

Dark Aether is damn good...interesting you say it’s inspired by Metroid Prime. I’m just blown away by your mix to be honest. You, Chime and Ace Aura have inspired me to get back into it. I’m hoping to join the color bass foray soon, with a bit of my own twist to it.

Please don’t ever stop making music; doing so (even for a little bit) was one of the biggest regrets of my life.

Oh, C'MON man! I need more after 10 years from the great dj-Nate.

The drop needs more. Definitely. I learned a neat trick from Skybreak that I'm gonna try in my new track: high pass everything leading into the drop, then at the same time push everything into mono. If executed correctly, it gives the drop a tunneling effect that makes the beat on the drop really stand out. Worth a shot.

The lead also sounds a tad thin/nasally to me. The scooping is a neat effect, but I think it needs something else to really get it to stand out.

Just my 2¢. Take it or leave it.
