Anyone remember Toonami?

Posted by mr-jazzman - July 20th, 2009

Too damn bad they canceled Toonami like a year ago. Not only did they have badass shows in the beginning, but the drum & bass songs they would play were pretty interesting. If you want to, just plug in "toonami" on playlist; not only will it bring back memories of the good ol' days, but the songs are also good for some inspiration. =) Just thought I'd share with anyone who cares.

Heh, I remember Toonami. I also remember it being involved the first time I knew the *chans were watching me: my post from a "RIP Toonami" thread or something ended up on 420chan. And not by me.

As far as the shows, why would I need this "playlist"? I could find any of it that I want at will, just by using the right search terms on Google.

yeah that's true. as far as playlist goes, it's a music site used to locate songs for free (it's just an fm site; you can't dl anything from it), not a place to find videos. the reason i mentioned it is b/c you can find some rare tracks on there, which most of the toonami d&b tracks are (apparently the cd - titled "Toonami: Deep Space Bass" - went out of print and availability years ago). the reason it was worth mentioning is cuz i was personally inspired by the ambient music they played for some of the videos and shows (shoot, you can't tell me you don't remember the tracks before DBZ or Gundam Wing fired up!) and felt like sharing the knowledge with anyone else who thought it was interesting. hell, i guess i was aiming it more towards the music - but trust me, the shows are never forgotten!
