metalstep FTW

Ay yes, gotta love Borgore lol! Yeah, I've heard this tune before, pretty sick. I don't think it's QUITE metalstep though lol. Sure, it's got the typical power metal/double time snare drumming and stuff, but the one thing that detracts me from his approach is the lack of guitar. What I would love to do is throw some rich metal guitar in on top of a dubstep tune, melding it with dubstep wobble/formant/rusty bass. And some screaming...so basically, the whole dubstep tune is the sickest breakdown you've ever heard! And the drop...oh god, the drop! The drop will just meld right with the breakdown...forming, what, the first "dropdown" ever in the history of the world? Here's an idea for how the f#@$ing "dropdown" would sound (and you gotta use your imagination here a little):

Listen to the end, around 4:30. Sick-ass breakdown, but if it had a dubstep drumming pattern at the end melded with wobble bass, then what do you get?

Just stuff to ponder on. And PS, Borgore is still one of my dubstep heroes! =P

yea..ive been lookin for a great metal dub
cant wait to hear wat u have to offer
keep up the work, and delve deeper into imagination, my friend.

Thanks! =) I think I will.

would this be considered metalstep?

Ay, that's close enough lol. The thing is it's a remix, so it's got more of that kind of a feel. And as much as I love Metallica, my type of metalstep would be a hell of a lot darker. Imagine Between the Buried and Me, dubstep-ized. What I would do essentially is extend a breakdown to 1:30 - 2 minutes long. This wouldn't be boring though because I would change it up, like a dubstep tune. I guess I can't really give you a good example, because one doesn't really exist yet! =P But, to answer your question, yes this could count. It's just not what I would consider a legit one, since it's a remix.

Thanks for posting this song man! I didn't even know about these guys. I now own the album lol, it's badass. If you know of any others like them please post em'.

Oh but I know of plenty! Not sure who all you've heard. That's pretty awesome, I don't own any albums or anything, I just thought this song was sick lol!

im tryin to make somthing like this now for you,its fucking impossible

Hahaha no it's not my friend! It may be impossible the way you're trying it, so try something new, something fresh, something...different! I can hear it in my head, and I invent it in my mind while listening to music in my car, so it's gotta be possible! =D

I say do it!
so far none of your music has let me down so I'm sure you wont disappoint.

Lol if I thought it sucked, I would never release it. I have tracks that I know would never go anywhere, so I avoided putting em up here. I have a feeling this project will go through a similar process. I like to experiment first, and then get serious. And when it's serious, it's fantastic. =)

I can't WAIT to start on this one! Only like another week and the fun begins. =D
