Yeah, his stuff is crap - i swear its just midi file downloads off the net somewhere. Copy pasta'd into reason n shit. But yeah, proxy voting would do it - i can't imagine it wouldn't be too hard to do either.
IMO fuck john sercu.

Hell yeah! Thanks for sharing the opinion! =D
I've heard some of his songs... I didn't drop any review, it sounds really basic for me and the piano he used in all of his classical pieces sounds crappy MIDI as hell...
What the... ? No velocity variations? No scales effects? Stoppit :S
05. Pour Anne - John Secru -> I don't know why this song is still in the all-time top scoring Oo
Dude, I asked myself the same question! Damn proxy voting >=(

He proxy votes his music. I even took screen shots and sent them to Nan, an audio mod. Obviously they don't care though cause they simply took one of the songs and posted them on the front page. And by front page I don't mean the audio portal main page, but Newgrounds' front page.
It does get a bit obnoxious to see those cheating the system don't get punished even when proof is shown they are cheating. But welcome to the Newgrounds audio portal. We aren't here for our benefit, we are here for the flash artist's benefit. So the fact there even is a weekly top 5 and all time top 30 should not be taken for granted. No matter how badly those up there might have cheated to get it.

Yes, this is true. And that's what I hate about it lol. Audio Portal people always get screwed, and the fact is that it's a VERY important community to this site. Without Audio Portal, Flash would suck! It's a shame the mods don't regulate it better...and it's even MORE of a shame that they would post it to the main page! This is exactly why I've started submitting my music to SoundClick as well (and there's a very good chance that I won't be submitting anything more than previews to NG eventually); even though that community is ridden by professional artists (which takes away from the indy producer a bit), it's still a full-fledged music community.
